Did You Hear About Jungkook’s Acne Breakout During the 2016 Gayo Daechukje? Here Are Some Acne Tips

During BTS’ performance at the 2016 Gayo Daechukje, fans became worried about Jungkook’s health after seeing his face. Here’s what happened and what you can do to prevent and treat acne breakouts.

When BTS performed at the 2016 Gayo Daechukje, fans easily spotted Jungkook’s acne breakout during one of his close-up shots. They say the acne is a sign that he’s under a lot of stress, not getting enough sleep, and even not being able to eat healthy because of BTS’ busy schedule.

Are the fans right? BTS is one of S. Korea’s top pop bands. They’re one of the major faces in the K-pop industry. Their fame has reached beyond S. Korea’s borders as their fandom spans Japan, China, and the Western world as well. BTS often holds concerts in the United States and other non-Asian countries too. So yes, it’s understandable that BTS members are filled with stress and exhaustion.

3 Natural Ways to Fight and Prevent Acne Breakouts

Acne happens to everyone – and no one is immune to a sudden breakout. Here are some ways you can help prevent and treat acne breakouts:

1. Get Enough Sleep

The BTS fans are right. Sleep plays a significant role in acne prevention. Researchers found that fatigue affects 65 percent of acne sufferers. That means that being tired and getting acne have a connection. If you want to beat the odds, then don’t be tired! If you’re not exhausted, then you’d either end up in the 35 percentile of acne suffers or not have acne at all – so your odds of an acne breakout are definitely lower if you get enough sleep every night.

Why does exhaustion cause acne? Lots of factors may play a role. When you are sleep-deprived, your body expresses fewer genes and has a less efficient metabolism. Some of the genes affected control inflammation and metabolism. That means you may experience more inflammation and your metabolism may be off when you don’t get enough sleep – and more inflammation can lead to acne.

So make sure you go to bed early so you can get the required amount of sleep your body needs to keep you acne-free.

2. De-stress

The BTS fans are right again. Stress has been found to exacerbate acne. Researchers did a study on Singaporean high school students and found that during periods of high stress, the students’ acne got significantly worse. They concluded that stress causes or worsens acne.

Stress also increases your cortisol levels, which can cause detrimental effects to your heart and brain.

If you’re under a lot of stress, try practicing yoga and meditation, which have been used in S. Korea since ancient times as a form of stress relief.

3. Eat Your Veggies and Ditch the Pizza and Carbs

The BTS fans hit the nail on the head again when they worried that BTS’ busy schedule is causing Jungkook to eat unhealthy foods that lead to his acne breakout. Researchers found that dairy and carb-heavy foods cause acne or increase your risk for developing acne.

They found that participants who lowered their carb-heavy foods and dairy product intake, like white bread, rice, cheese, and milk, experienced a significant decrease in the severity of their acne.

If you want to lessen or prevent acne breakouts, ease up on your favorite carbs and cheesy foods. Replace them with boiled vegetables, which are rich in nutrients and antioxidants that lower inflammation, which help alleviate acne.

Hopefully BTS can catch a break so that Jungkook can look as beautiful as he can for his adoring fans during the band’s next performance! Meanwhile, try these tips to help heal and prevent your own acne situation.s
